บุญกระธูป — Bun Krathup — on the evening of 22 October 2026 the nine subdistricts of Nong Bua Daeng brought their incense trees into the town. Ban Huai Han and Sai Ngam belong to ตำบลวังชมภู, Tambon Wang Chomphu, one of the nine.

A krathup (ต้นกระธูป) is a tree made of incense: dried coconut husk ground to powder, rolled in coloured paper, the sticks tied in tiers around a bamboo pole until the tree stands like a ฉัตร — a chat, a tiered umbrella. The small ones reach three metres, the large ones six and more. They are built in the days before ออกพรรษา — Ok Phansa, the end of the rains retreat — and afterwards carried to the temples and lit as an offering.

More than 1,500 dancers walked the procession, and the town was full: people stood close along the whole road. In the evening there was a concert, and above the town a show of drones — a lotus, a standing Buddha, the name ชัยภูมิ — Chaiyaphum — and the words 24 ปี, twenty-four years. The district has gathered the village krathup into one festival since 2002.
